Herrin Woman's Club is partnering with Herrin Area Historical Society to host a waffle breakfast to raise funds for the Historical Society. The Herrin area history is full of stories & events that helped shape our part of the world. There is the rich Italian heritage, right along side the battles surrounding the coal industry in the early part of the 20th Century. The Historical Society is now looking for a building to house its many artifacts & documents. A permanent home would create space for a museum, as well as a place for members to hold meetings. It would also boost tourism & be a source of educational opportunities. Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for children. There will be 50 tickets sold for each time slot. Carry outs are also available. Belgian waffles, sausage, fruit, & choice of juice, coffee or milk will be served.
