Students Do Their Part in Fighting Cancer

UNION COUNTY- Students and staff at a local high school are joining together in the fight against breast cancer.

Pink t-shirts were all you could see in the cafeteria and classrooms of Shawnee High School.

Students and faculty had t-shirts made with the phrase "hoping for a cure"

Some teens went the extra mile to show their support by dying their hair pink.

It's a cause that connects the entire school.

Students also sold pink bracelets. The school raised more than $500.

That money will be donated to the Susan G. Komen foundation.
