Ferris Waives Extradition

WSIL -- A suspect in a West Frankfort double homicide may soon return to Franklin County.

Michael Schallert and Afton Ferris were arrested October 21 in a trailer near Fort Collins, Colorado.

Both have been charged with murder in the shooting deaths of Terri Seibeck and Kandis Majors of West Frankfort.

Laramie County, Colorado authorities say Ferris has waived extradition back to Illinois.

So far, Schallert has not signed a waiver.

A status hearing on his case will be held in Colorado on November 6.
