Ryan Hare Suspended Indefinitely
"We are disappointed with Ryan's actions, and he is suspended indefinitely from the team," said Lowery.
Hare is facing charges of aggravated battery and criminal trespass to a residence.
Carbondale Police were called to the 800 block of East Grand at 9:20 Saturday morning after a fight was reported.
Hare was arrested at his home by Carbondale Police.
The victim was treated and released from Carbondale Memorial Hospital.
Carbondale police say the victim was an acquaintance of Hare's.
The Jackson County Jail said bail was posted Sunday at 4:55 P.M.
Hare started in 26 games for SIU during the 2008-2009 season, averaging 7.5 points per game.
