Today was a bit cooler with winds out of the north and plenty of cloud cover hanging around all day. Rain has moved in this evening and should continue for most of the overnight hours and into tomorrow. Widespread rain with locally heavy bands of rainfall should continue through early morning. I suspect we could see a lull in rainfall sometime between 3:00 am and day break. The chance for scattered showers returns later in the morning but dwindles throughout the day.
Temperatures will likely begin in the upper 40s and stay there through the daylight hours of the day, falling into the 30s after sunset. The rest of the week ahead looks warmer, with highs back in the 60s on Monday.
I’ll be back with another update on WSIL-TV tonight at after the game, and again tomorrow morning.
