GRAND TOWER (WSIL) — Neighbors in Grand Tower will be able to enjoy their homecoming.
Earlier this year, Devil’s Backbone Park board members said they couldn’t have the celebration due to the months of flooding and damage to the park, but on Monday night during a township meeting, they announced they’d received enough donations to pay for the event.
Board member Donnie Davis said it will be free for families to enjoy.
Davis said they plan to have the homecoming at the park, but if the damage is not repaired in time it could be held at the old rodeo grounds in Grand Tower.
Homecoming festivities will take place on Sept. 27 and 28.
Davis said the park board is asking people that attend the homecoming to make a donation to help pay for the homecoming.
