Water main break in Carterville

Carterville leaders say the water main break has been repaired. Pressure is being restored to customers. A boil order will be in effect until further notice.


CARTERVILLE (WSIL) — Carterville customers are without water as the city works to repair a large water main break. 

Carterville Police put out a Nixle alert for all residents and drivers. There has been a large water main break on the corner of East Grand and Walnut Street. 

Water will be shut off for repairs. All drivers are asked to avoid the area, and boil water when it is restored.
