Carbondale takes down Waterloo

CARBONDALE (WSIL) — In Carbondale Friday, the Terriers honored first responders and members of the military prior to their game with Waterloo.

It was a hard-fought first half. On the opening kick-off, Waterloo fumbled the ball. The Terriers recovered, but Carbondale couldn’t capitalize.

It was scoreless in the second quarter when the Terriers’ DeMarcus Funchess picked off the Waterloo pass to give the Terriers another opportunity. This time they make good.

The teams traded scores, but it was Carbondale coming out on top 28 to 14. The Terriers move to 3-0 on the season.
