Benton still undefeated

HERRIN (WSIL) — The Benton Rangers took their unbeaten record into Herrin to face the Tigers.
    
Herrin, playing its first home game of the season, led 3-nothing at the half.

Midway through the third quarter, Gunter Gosha stopped a Benton drive with an interception in the end zone. 

The Rangers returned the favor a short time later as Garrett Cardwell intercepted a Chance Karnes’ pass.  

Benton’s Tyler Butler scored a pair of touchdowns to give Benton a 14-3 lead.

The senior had more than 140 rushing yards on the night. 

Benton stays undefeated, winning 21-3. 

Herrin falls to 1-3.
