Johnston City upsets Sesser-Valier-Waltonville at home

JOHNSTON CITY (WSIL) — Sesser-Valier-Waltonville headed to Johnston City Friday, ranked 10th in the state in Class 2A.

Johnston City’s QB Austin Brown keeps it himself and races 13 yards for for the score. Then the 2-point conversion puts the Indians on top 20-nothing.

S-V-W’s tries to make a comeback, Tanner Eubanks goes in from three yards out for the score– cutting the lead to 20-8.

In the 4th, the Red Devils’ Payton Bates completes 17-yard pass to Garrett Gunter for the score drawing SVW to within 20-14.

But again, it’s the Indians’ Austin Brown keeping it and finding the end zone.

The Indians get the upset, 26-22.
