HARRISBURG (WSIL) -- Walmart officials released the following statement on Tuesday night's fire at the Harrisburg store:
“Our Harrisburg store is currently closed due to a small isolated fire. We’re grateful no costumers or associates were hurt and appreciate the quick response of local firefighters and law enforcement. We will provide store status updates for the community on our Harrisburg store’s Facebook page.”
HARRISBURG (WSIL) -- Authorities confirm Harrisburg Walmart is closed due to smoke from a small fire.
Harrisburg Fire Department responded to a structure fire at Walmart just before midnight on Tuesday, December 31.
Several fire departments including Carrier Mills, Equality, Shawneetown, and a MABAS 45 ventilation truck out of Johnston City assisted.
No injuries have been reported and the fire is under investigation.
