CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- John Shaw, director of the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute, expects tensions to ease between the U.S. and Iran.
"It's sort of like, maybe a playground, where each of the two kids got in the first couple of punches, they both kind of realize that there's not much to be gained by continuing the fight and want to wait for their buddies to separate them," explains Shaw.
He thinks things have stabilized at the moment.
"But there's a lot of impulsive people there, you know. Iran has close ties with a lot of terrorist groups that will almost certainly strike at western targets sometime over the next couple of months, and who knows how the president will react to that."
