Egyptian Boys Basketball is 13-3 on the season.
Pharohs are 3-1 in the South Egyptian Conference.
One of their seniors is on the brink of breaking records.
We go Beyond the Highlights with Christian Trexler.
"That's all it is ball just going in the hole," Trexler said.
Egyptian's Christian Trexler can shoot.
The Pharaoh's senior recently hit a big milestone.
Trexler has 2.041 points for his career.
In fact Christian is just 181 points shy of being the school's all-time leading scorer. He's on pace to break Dana Ford's record. Yes that Dana Ford. Missouri State's Head basketball Coach.
"You kind of know when you got it going when you make your first few shots, they go in, you feel good," Trexler said.
"For him it's huge. He has two thousand points but he is also probably 70-80 assists away from breaking the school's assists record as well" Egyptian Head Coach Allen Pearman said.
Trexler is a humbled kid. He;s a three point champion but he's not thinking about personal accolades.
"No, not really. It'll probably register after I graduate, look back on all the memories of high school.
There are good players and there are great players. The great ones make those around them better. That fits Christian to a T.
"As he's grown and developed as a leader so has the wins. Eight wins his freshman year, 16 wins his sophomore year, 21 wins last year and we'll probably get, looking at 25 or better this year and he's a born leader. He does more than just basketball, he's more than just a basketball player. He's beta club, he's student council, he's whatever it takes to make the high school function," Pearman said.
