Johnson & Johnson to pay $6.3M in Infants’ Tylenol settlement

(WSIL) -- If you purchased Infants' Tylenol in the last five years, you could be eligible for a cash payment.

Johnson & Johnson has agreed to pay up to $6.3 million to customers who bought Infants' Tylenol between October 3, 2014 and January 6, 2020.

The settlement comes after a class action lawsuit about the product's packaging and advertising. The suit alleged Johnson & Johnson deceived customers into paying more, thinking the pain reliever was specially formulated for infants, when it was the same formula as Children's Tylenol.

If you bought Infants' Tylenol between October 2014 and January 2020 and have the proof of purchase, you may receive $2.15 for every 1-ounce or two-ounce bottle purchased. Without the proof of purchase, you may claim up to seven bottles for a maximum payment of $15.05.

Claims must be submitted by April 13, 2020.
