CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- Patchy dense fog is possible through the first few hours after sunrise. Visibility is down to less than one mile in some spots.
It's chilly outside with temperatures in the low to mid 30s across Southern Illinois and Southeast Missouri. Farther south, Western Kentucky is waking up with temperatures in the mid 40s thanks to clouds overhead through the overnight hour.
Once the fog mixes out, we're still expecting a fair amount of cloud cover, but milder temperatures. Afternoon high temperatures in the low to mid 50s Tuesday.
A fast moving system will bring a chance for a few light showers and patchy drizzle Wednesday. Overall, precipitation is expected to amount to less than 0.05" for most of the region.
Meteorologist Nick Hausen is tracking another system on News 3 that could bring us some winter weather and potential for more heavy rain later this week. We've got you covered!
