PADUCAH (WSIL) -- For those who like hunting, fishing, kayaking or breaking out the ATVs; there's an event for you.

It's the Outdoor Life: Field and Stream Expo taking place at the Paducah-McCracken County Convention Center.

More than 100 vendors will be at the weekend-long event selling items like hammocks, hunting vacation packages, food, clothing apparel and more.

One of those vendors is Paducah Shooter's Supply that's been in the community since 1983.

Chase McCutchen, whose parents own the business, thinks it's a good way to bring new visitors to the area, who will hopefully return.

"A lot of people with the outdoors that might not even know we are here in Paducah," McCutchen explains. "Maybe they'll come back and visit."

Along with shopping, attendees can also enjoy live demonstrations and seminars.

Some of those include tips to cooking wild game with Chef Albert, Frank Addington's archery show where he shoots a bow and arrow behind his back and Bass fishing tips with elite fisherman Mark Menendez.

Tony Venezaino, who helps to coordinate the event, invites the whole family out.

"There's activities for the kids, some games and equipment they can try out," Venezaino shares. "It's teaching the next generation of outdoors people."

The Outdoor Life: Field & Stream Expo is taking place January 17-19th.

You can buy tickets online for a discount or at the door.

Although children 12 and under are free, they still need a free ticket.

Parking is also free.
