CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- It was a great end to the weekend with warm temperatures and a bit of sunshine but the chance for showers returns tomorrow.
Tonight clouds will build back into the region but a mostly quiet night is expected. Overnight low temperatures will dip down into the upper 30s.
Monday our next weather system will make it's way into the area bringing back the chance for rain. Isolated showers will be a possibility throughout the day but the best chance for rain won't move in until the afternoon and evening. Rainfall totals are projected to stay relatively light, therefore widespread flooding is not expected. Monday will also be a breezy day with winds picking up out of the south which will lead to warmer temperatures. Highs are expected to top out in the 50s again tomorrow afternoon.
Light rain will likely linger into Tuesday before clearing. A cool but drier forecast is on tap for the rest of the week.
Meteorologist Jacie Brianne will have the latest look at you forecast tonight on News 3.
