POPLAR BLUFF (WSIL) -- The Poplar Bluff and Butler County Major Case squad are asking for the public's help in identifying a man believed to be responsible for two shootings in Poplar Bluff Sunday.

The two shootings happened within thirty-minutes of one another; one shooting was at Bacon Park, the other at Wallace Street.

A 23-year old, whose name has yet to be released, was airlifted to St. Louis hospital with critical injuries after the shooting at Bacon Park.

Three others were injured at the second shooting: a 48-year old male, a 56-year old male, and a 46-year old male. All three of them are being treated at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

“We don’t know if they are associated or not,” he said. ”We are trying to get video of the incidents. The three on Wallace at this point are still alive," says Poplar Bluff Police Chief Danny Whiteley.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
