CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- After storms mostly passing to our north this morning, a small chance of showers will remain throughout the day, before a better chance for showers and storms tonight.
Friday morning and early afternoon will hold the possibility of a few showers. The main focus will be the chance for showers and storms as a warm front lifts across the region later this evening. The best chance for showers and thunderstorms looks to be in the 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. window.
Shower and thunderstorm activity should die down into the overnight and early morning hours on Saturday, before we see a chance for potentially strong to severe storms into the afternoon hours.
Overall, expect the next several days to be warm, with an expected high in the upper 70s and low 80s this afternoon.
