CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- Scattered storms will stick around this afternoon and early evening before diminishing.
Storms will continue to be a possibility for the remainder of the afternoon, however they are not worth cancelling plans over. Locations that get caught in a storm will see brief heavy rain and lightning as the main threats. Isolated strong storms with gusty winds and small hail can't be ruled out. However, with the storms being so scattered many of us will stay dry. It'll be an evening to keep an eye on the radar.
Tuesday will be very similar to what we've seen all weekend. Another hot and muggy day with temperatures climbing back into the 80s. The chance for more scattered storm activity will again be possible by the afternoon. Heavy rain and lightning will continue to be the main hazards.
The Storm Track 3 Team is tracking storms for much of forecast period. Meteorologist Jacie Brianne will have the latest tonight on News 3.
