CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- We'll need to hang on to the rain gear and keep an eye on the radar for a few more days.
Much like Monday the chance for scattered storms will stick around through the remainder of the afternoon and evening. The main threats will heavy rain and lightning. However, isolated stronger storms will be capable of producing damaging winds and small hail. Be sure to stay weather aware, especially if you have outdoor plans.
Wednesday an area of low pressure will near the region not only continuing but ramping up the chance for showers and storms. Storms will be possible throughout the entire day, however the best chances remain in the afternoon and evening. The main threats will continue to be heavy rain and lightning.
High temperatures are projected to stay a bit cooler, topping out in the 70s.
The Storm Track 3 Team is tracking more storms in the forecast but also some dry weather. Meteorologist Jacie Brianne will have the latest tonight on News 3.
