(WSIL) -- Cape Splash is set to reopen to the general public on Monday, June 8, 2020.

In a statement on it's official Facebook page. Management says the water park will have increased sanitation and will operate at 50% capacity which is about 500 guests to limit exposure.

Cape Splash will be open seven days a week with two sessions per day. Sessions will be from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. to allow for additional sanitation in between sessions.

The cost will be $7 per person per session (adults & children $7, under 12 months free). Season pass holders will have unlimited entries.

Park officials ask that all guests honor social distancing guidelines when possible.

The CDC states there is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to people through water in pools, hot tubs, spas, or water play areas.
