CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- Humidity is creeping up and you can already notice the difference this morning.
Wednesday will be one of the warmest days of the season so far as temperatures inch near 90º and heat indices will be running in the middle 90s. If possible, think about doing outdoor chores and exercise earlier in the day to beat the heat.
A few storms are possible during the heat of the day in Southeast Missouri, but the main focus for storms will be after sunset this evening. A line of storms is expected to drop in from the north later in the evening with a threat for heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds.
Meteorologist Nick Hausen has the latest on the threat for storms and what the weekend has in store on News 3 This Morning. We've got you covered!
