CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- Another warm and humid day with more scattered storms.
Monday morning is starting off very warm and muggy. Humidity is running high and temperatures are in the mid to upper 70s.
A shower or two is possible this morning, mainly in parts of Southeast Missouri. Storm chances then begin to shift east into Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky this afternoon. Storms will likely remain scattered about, meaning some will some heavy rain and others will remain dry.
Outside the rain, temperatures will peak in the upper 80s and the heat index will be in the upper 90s.
An interesting weather set up on Tuesday and Wednesday with a storm system expected to develop north and west of our area. It will likely sling heavy rain and thunderstorms into Southern Illinois.
