Carterville, Ill. (WSIL) - A new boutique recently opened in Carterville and the owner is only 18 years-old, as of today.

Kaitlyn Minus began this business with an online store in April when she was 17.

She says fashion is something she's been passionate about for as long as she can remember.

She also says for her, owning a business that allows her to do something she loves has been very rewarding.

It's important to Kaitlyn that people who come into her store can find clothing and accessories they love in a friendly and welcoming environment.

"The thing with this boutique is that it's going to be like I said a positive atmosphere that any woman can come in here and find something that they feel confident and beautiful in when they're walking out, we just always hope to be that light in the darkness," she said.

Kaitlyn's father Jeff says he's proud of his daughter's drive, and he thinks this experience will be invaluable for her.

"As a business person myself, my opinion is, she's going to learn so much more running a business than in her first couple years of college. These are life lessons and business lessons that she's going to take with her for the rest of her life," he said.

Sabella Boutique is located on Division Street in Carterville. It is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

You can find them online here.
