LYON CO., Ky. (WSIL) -- Drivers traveling along Interstate 24 in western Kentucky may run into some delays.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) says a stalled truck and a separate crash are impacting traffic in the I-24 work zone that runs from mile marker 52 to mile marker 65, or roughly from Eddyville to Cadiz, Ky.
According to KYTC, a truck ran out of fuel near mile marker 60 blocking eastbound traffic.
The truck has now been removed, but it may take an hour or more for eastbound traffic to clear and resume normal work zone speeds.
There's also been a crash in the westbound lanes of I-24 in that same area.
KYTC says the crash should be cleared soon but has created about a one hour delay for westbound motorists.
Drivers are urged to use caution in the work zone.
