Pets of Week: August 20, 2020

CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- Six animals, including two cats and four dogs, are up for adoption in this edition of Pets of the Week.
Dutchess is a one-year-old long-haired female who knows she is royalty.
She can be a bit crabby with other cats, but she likes long naps and tasty treats. She can found at the Humane Society of Southern Illinois in Murphysboro.
Sunny is a beautiful black feline who is about a year old, and unlike Dutchess, she is great with other cats as well as dogs and kids. Sunny loves to be held, give kisses and likes to ride on your back and shoulder. She is very talkative and will make a good companion. You can get to know Sunny at the Perry County Humane Society in Du Quoin.
Howard is a two-year-old Hound who can be playful at times. He is already housebroken, and right now, he is working to be crate-trained.
Contact the Wayne County Humane Society in Fairfield to learn more.
Beauty is a seven-month-old female Chocolate Lab-mix. She is now up for adoption or rescue. Her adoption fee is $125, and that covers spay, microchip, heartworm test, and bordetella vaccine. Contact the City of Marion Animal Control for more information about Beauty.
King is a Great Dane who is about six-month-old. He was waiting for his owners, but they never came forward to claim him. He is sweet and playful and needs a yard to play in. If you are interested in adopting King, he is at Union County Animal Control in Cobden.
You won't find a sweeter or more handsome dog then Jack. He is neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm free. Jack likes children and dogs.
Call the Humane Society of Olney to adopt Jack.
