One arrested, another remains at-large in connection to Olney murder

OLNEY (WSIL) -- Police have arrested one person but are still searching for another in connection to a murder.

Kyle M. Johnson, 19, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 300 block of North Walnut Street on Sunday.

Illinois State Police arrested Tara N. Haws, 33, of Olney, Wednesday in connection to the murder but continue to look for the other suspect, Rick A. Meador, 19, of Olney.

Meador is described as a white male, approximately 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighing approximately 155 pounds with brown hair. He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Meanwhile, Haws is charged with first degree murder by accountability and has been booked into the Richland County Jail on $1,000,000 bond.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Meador should call law enforcement immediately.
