ZRC wins Black Diamond girls golf tournament

WEST FRANKFORT (WSIL) -- On Thursday, the Ziegler-Royalton-Christopher (ZRC) girls golf team won the Black Diamond conference tournament for the first time with a team score of 352.

The Tornadoes won by a nice margin over second place Trico (394) and right behind them in third was Hamilton County and Carmi-White County with scores of 407. Eldorado shot a 414, Goreville finished with a 431 and Chester rounded out the field with a 437.

On an individual level, Hamilton County's Kylee Vaughan was your medalist with a 78. It was the fourth time she won the event.

ZRC had a strong showing. Four of the top six finishers were Tornadoes. Savanah Saeger of ZRC finished second with an 84 and Trico's Kylie Bunselmeyer came in third with an 87.
