CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- Low humidity and breezy conditions will keep the fire risk elevated for the remainder of the evening but changes are around the corner.
A Red Flag Warning is in place across much of the region until 7PM tonight. This means outdoor burning is dangerous and highly discouraged as conditions are favorable for rapidly spreading fires.
Late tonight and into tomorrow an approaching front will bring changes and eventually eliminate the fire risk.
Clouds are expected to increase tonight with the chance for rain returning by tomorrow morning. Sunday will be a day to hang on to the rain gear.
Meteorologist Jacie Brianne will break down timing and how long the rain will stick around tonight on News 3.
