CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) -- Sheriff's deputies in Calloway County, Ky. are searching for a vehicle suspected of hitting a cyclist Friday night.

The department found 79-year old Peggy Miller on Highway 94 near Lynn Grove after a vehicle hit her while riding her bicycle, according to a release.

Deputies say Miller was traveling east on the highway and a vehicle traveling in the same direction hit her. However, the vehicle didn't stop after striking Miller.

Miller was wearing a reflective vest and had flashing lights on her bicycle, investigators say. Miller was taken to Murray-Calloway County Hospital for treatment.

Deputies also found parts of the vehicle left at the scene, including a passenger side mirror. They believe it belongs to a dark-green vehicle.
