CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- There's only one cat amongst the four animals up for adoption in this edition of Pets of the Week.
Lola is about 11-months-old and a mix-breed. The shelter said she is okay with other dogs. This showgirl is up for adoption at Jefferson County Animal Control in Mt. Vernon.
Ely is a mature boy who has lots of life and love to give. He was found wandering the streets and taken to PAWS Place Adoption Center in Anna after weeks of searching for his home. He is a lover who is always happy and ready to play. He is about 8 or 9 years old and weighs about 8 pounds.
Stevie is the longest cat at Finding Forever Animal Rescue. The shelter says his adoption fee is sponsored to $80.00. You can stop by the Marion shelter Tuesday through Saturday between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to meet him.
If you have a child that would love a dog, Elmo might be your girl. She is about 7-months-old and a Labrador-Retriever-mix. She likes to chase deer and other animals and is a friendly girl who loves being outdoors. Elmo is also soft and loves to cuddle. Since she is a puppy, she will need some training. You can get to know her at Wayne County Humane Society in Fairfield.
Williamson County Animal Control in Marion has a male dog who needs a name and a home. He is between one and two-years-old and was found at 9th and Market Street in Johnston City. His adoption fee is $137.00, which covers his neuter, rabies vaccine, and microchip.
