Warm & very windy, high fire threat Thursday

WSIL -- Warm and very windy! The breeze is already blowing out of the south this morning, keep temperatures up throughout the overnight hours. Temperatures this morning are running in the upper 40s and lower 50s.

Winds will continue to strengthen throughout the morning with gusts over 40 miles per hour possible. Relative humidity values will be low this afternoon (below 30%) which will lead to a high fire threat.

A RED FLAG WARNING has been issued for the entire region, highlighting the fire threat.

Burning leaves and brush is highly discouraged Thursday.

Outside of the strong winds, temperatures will be well above average, with high temperatures running in the upper 60s and lower 70s.
