Boy Scouts holding another drive-thru food collection

CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- A local Boy Scout troop will hold another drive-thru Scouting for Food event as a way to stock the Good Samaritan Food Pantry.

It's happening at the University Baptist Church in from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 28th.

Those who want to donate can fill up grocery bags with canned goods and non-perishable items. Upon arrival, scouts or their leaders will get the bags out of the backseat or trunk.

For those busy on Saturday or living in a different town, there are other opportunities to donate.

Drop-off bins located at churches and grocery stores across the region, which will help stock the shelves of food pantries in the cities where they're located.
