CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- Another restaurant is closing its doors as the impacts of COVID-19 continue to take a toll.
Tres Hombres Mexican Restaurant and Bar will soon close until further notice.
The eatery made the announcement on Saturday afternoon via Facebook saying it was a tough and difficult decision, but they cannot hold on any longer.
The post went on to say, "We cannot say thank you enough to our customers, friends and family that have supported us through this difficult time. We will be here on the other side of this, and we can't wait to see you and serve you all again."
Then in a separate Facebook post, the restaurant further explained that its too cold for outdoor dining. If indoor dining becomes an option going forward, the plan is to reopen to customers.
Until then, Tres Hombres will stay closed until the weather warms.
Governor Pritzker reinstated COVID-19 mitigation efforts on October 22nd including the ban of indoor dining.
The announcement by Tres Hombres comes less than a week after A Fine Swine BBQ and Pizza said they will be closing their locations in Mt. Vernon and the Metro East indefinitely.
The last day to visit Tres Hombres is Sunday, November 29th. The doors will temporarily close starting Monday, November 30th.
