(WSIL) Cold air kept temperatures on the chilly side despite ample sunshine Tuesday. Wednesday afternoon should be a little bit warmer as high clouds move in from the southwest.
A strong storm system well to our south will push in a chance of precipitation late Wednesday night and Thursday. Cold air already in place could bring snowflakes and ice pellets at the start of the event. Warming on Thursday will switch over to a light rain that will exit the region by evening.
I will have the latest forecast updates on News 3 WSIL.
