New low cost spay and neuter clinic in Marion

MARION (WSIL) -- Finding Forever Animal Rescue in Marion is doing their part to cut down on the stray and feral cat population.
The shelter opened a new low cost spay and neuter clinic about a month ago. The clinic is for cats only and is offered two days a week.
Becca Baird, Director of the shelter says all of their surgeries are booked in advance and there's a $20 cash deposit to make the appointment.
"We have been very thankful. We already had a good following previously but now that it's here in Marion it's been great to stay busy. We'll see hopefully a big diference come kitten season with all the ones we've gotten fixed. I think this year we'll do well over 1,000 cats," says Baird.
Baird says the low cost surgeries are offered to everyone and no proof of a certain income is needed. The new clinic is located in Marion next to the Finding Forever Thrift shop.
