AFC’s young QB quartet, old NFC guard create huge age gap

The age gap between conferences for the quarterbacks in the divisional round is the biggest since the 1970 merger. Forty-something stars Tom Brady of Tampa Bay and Drew Brees in New Orleans are meeting in one of the NFC games. Meantime, the elder statesman among AFC playoff quarterbacks is 25-year-old Baker Mayfield of Cleveland. If Jared Goff starts for the Los Angeles Rams against Green Bay, all four NFC quarterbacks will be older than the AFC group. The difference in average age between the conferences is 12 years, 98 days.
