CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- It's been a warm and comfortable Saturday but the storms return tonight.
Heavy rain and the possibility of storms will push in from the southwest throughout the evening. The rain and storm chance will then stick around tonight and through much of the day Sunday.
The National Weather Service has issued an Areal Flood Watch for much of the region as this next system moves through. Heavy rain is likely with a possibility of more than 2 inches in some areas.
An isolated strong storm or two can't be ruled out tonight or into Sunday. The main threats include heavy rain, gusty winds and small hail. Be sure to stay weather aware.
Meteorologist Jacie Brianne will be tracking this system tonight on News 3.
