CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- Massac County boys basketball remains unbeaten and improves to 9-0, 6-0 in the Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference. The Patriots went on a third quarter run to sprint past Herrin 52-39. Will Harmon had a pair of late third quarter baskets, including a buzzer beater, to give the Patriots some separation.

In the Black Diamond, Amaiah Hargrove scored 17 points to lead Christopher past Vienna 45-39 and put the Bearcats in the conference driver seat.

On senior night, Carterville was able to hold off Anna-Jonesboro 41-34 in a back-and-forth contest.
