CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- There are four dogs in this edition of Pets of the Week and only one female in this good-looking bunch.

Tadpole is a 7-month-old neutered male Lab/Great Pyrenees-mix. The big boy is 55 pounds and still growing. He gets along with everything that walks. However, he would do best in a home with older children due to his size. He is excited to learn new tricks and hopes to get some training in the future. He is up for adoption at the Humane Society of Southern Illinois in Murphysboro.

Buddy is a 2-year-old neutered male Boxer-mix. He is energetic and playful and loves spending time with people. Buddy does not like cats, and is dog selective. He is available for rescue or adoption at the City of Marion Animal Control. His adoption fee is $50, and that includes his vetting.

Duke is a 3 to 5-year-old male Pit Bull mix. He was tied to the gate and left at the City of Herrin Animal Control. He loves to go on walks and play. He is vaccinated, heartworm positive, and looking for his forever home. Duke has bonded with a female Pit Bull named Dee Dee and is very protective of her, but they both get along with other dogs when separated.

The only female out of the bunch is Alice. She is stylish and ready to meet her new family. The precious girl and her siblings are Labradors about 9 to 11 weeks old. For more on Alice, call Finding Forever Animal Rescue in Marion.
