CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- It's all about the dogs. They need a family of their own and some TLC in this edition of the Pets of the Week.

Hamlin is a 5-year-old Lab-mix who weighs 70-pounds. He loves running around in the play yard at the shelter, making new friends, and living life to the fullest. If you like adventure and exploration, Hamiln might be your guy. He is big, strong, and knows to sit for treats. You can learn more about him at Perry County Humane Society in Du Quoin.

Frannie is a 2-year-old female Pit Bull who weighs 35-pounds. She is about knee-high and full of fun. Frannie has more muscles on her legs than they've ever seen at the shelter. She is good with other dogs and hasn't shown any issues with cats. Frannie is up for adoption at the Humane Society of Southern Illinois in Murphysboro.

Max is a 7-month-old male Shepard Lab-mix who is good with kids and other dogs. He also knows how to sit and loves to play. Max is neutered, up to date on his shots, and heartworm negative. You can get to know him at Finding Forever Animal Rescue in Marion.

Yoda and Cocoa Sunflower are a perfect pair to add to a loving family. They must be adopted together because they are bonded and believed to be siblings. Yoda is a male, and Cocoa Sunflower is female. They are about 2-years-old. The pair were pulled from a high kill shelter in their last hours. They are doing great with house training at Claws and Paws in Olney.
