(WSIL) -- A clear sky early will give way to showers and storms this afternoon.
Sunshine will be abundant early, but a general increase in clouds will precede an introduction of showers to the forecast this afternoon. The wave generating today's rain may bring enough ingredients together for some lightning and small hail. Scattered showers and storms will persist through the early evening before skies clear out tonight.
Expect a high in the low to mid 60s. Overnight, clear skies drop our temps into the low 40s. Monday afternoon brings more sun, and warmer temperatures. Some may be close to 70 Monday afternoon.
I'll be tracking and timing today's showers this morning on News 3.
