CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- Scattered showers will stick around into the evening but more sunshine is on the way.
Scattered showers and even some small have been reported across the region this afternoon. The energy behind these showers will eventually move out of the area this evening.
After sunset the showers are expected to begin to diminish followed by clearing clouds. Mostly clear skies will return overnight and low temperatures will dip into the low 40s.
Monday is looking like a beautiful start to the week. It'll be a day with abundant sunshine and warmer high temperatures, topping out in the upper 60s.
Tuesday will bring big changes. Our next system will bring back the below normal temperatures and the chance for a few snow flakes.
