CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- A new list of cute animals is up for adoption in this edition of Pets of the Week.

Buddah was taken to PAWS Adoption Center after his brother beat him up, causing stitches on his nose and chin. Buddah did not instigate the fight. He adjusts well to other dogs his size. He is playful, friendly, and being in a home with a cat is fine. Buddah weighs about 12 pounds and is 3-years-old. His adoption fee at the shelter in Anna is $250.

Sammy is a remarkable sweet 3-year-old. Her eight puppies have all found their furever homes, and now it's her turn! She loves treats and catches on quickly to routines. Sammy is friendly towards new people but sometimes gets overwhelmed if there is a large group. Her adoption fee at St. Francis CARE in Murphysboro is $125-dollars. That includes her spay, vaccines, and microchip.

Denver is a Heeler-mix and only three months old. If you think he'll make your home complete, contact Jefferson County Animal Control in Mt. Vernon.

Sansa is the only cat on the list and is a 1-year-old Domestic Longhair Siamese-mix. Sansa is good with cats, dogs, and kids. This majestic girl can come off as reserved at first, but once Sansa gets a few pets, she is ready to be your best friend. If you think she is your girl, call the Human Society of Southern Illinois.

Gia is a bit of a wild child but also very sweet, and Medora follows her around. The pair are siblings and best buddies. They were taken to Saving Grace Canine Boot Camp when they were just four days old. They may be Lab/Pittie mixes.

Stumpy is a 10-month-old male Brindle Pitbull. This pup seems to get along with other dogs but not sure about cats. Stumpy is fully-vetted, heartworm negative, up-to-date on all vaccines, and ready to go to a new home. He was left in a Kennel with two others to starve to death when he. He is doing better and would love to find a loving home. He's up for adoption at Union County Animal Control in Cobden.
