WSIL -- A few light showers remain possible through the late afternoon and early evening, but they will remain light and brief.
If heading out this evening, rain should not be an issue, but it will be rather cool for this time of year as temperatures hover in the low to mid 50s.
Our attention will then turn to widespread showers and storms Sunday morning.
Heavy rain, lightning, and small hail possible as the first wave of storms through the first half of the day.
A few more storms are likely to develop during the afternoon, primarily across far southern Illinois, western Kentucky, and the Missouri Bootheel. These storms could be strong, to even severe, with the threat for hail, strong winds, and possibly a tornado or two.
Meteorologist Nick Hausen is in tonight on News 3 and has the latest on the storm threat on News 3!
