Paducah man arrested for stabbing woman

MCCRACKEN COUNTY (WSIL) -- A Paducah man is now in custody for stabbing a woman.

On Thursday, McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the area of Louisiana Street in the Farley community for a stabbing.

Upon arrival, deputies located a 62-year-old female victim with stab wounds to her face and left arm. Deputies also located 62-year-old Donald P. Lassiter, who had stab wounds as well.

The investigation revealed that Lassiter had stabbed the woman due to a prior argument, stemming from her refusing to pay for a cab ride for Lassiter.

He stabbed the woman and a struggle ensued over the knife. Lassister receive his stab wounds during the struggle.

Lassiter and the victim were transported to area hospitals and received treatment for their injuries. Upon his release from the hospital, Lassiter was taken into custody on an assault charge.
