POPLAR BLUFF, MO (WSIL) -- Some local groups are teaming up to help restore historic downtown Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
The Three River's Board of Realtors, the group Downtown Poplar Bluff and other local businesses are involved.
An open house event was held Thursday to show off vacant properties that are for sale or lease in hopes of attracting new businesses to the city.
Organizers say they are excited to bring in new jobs, tourism, and revenue to the area.
"I really think we're going to see a lot of growth in the near future, we have a lot of projects going on, we have a lot of new businesses coming in, and I think its really going to be amazing. Its good for the entire community. Its not just good for downtown, its good for everyone in Poplar Bluff" said Morgan McIntosh, Executive Director of Downtown Poplar Bluff.
