Body of missing kayaker found in lake in central Kentucky

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (AP) — The body of a 19-year-old man has been found in a lake in central Kentucky, a day after he was reported in distress. Elizabethtown Police Department spokesman Chris Denham told news outlets that Kenneth Robertson of Hardin County was found dead near where he was last seen. Denham says the body was found Wednesday in Freeman Lake in about 20 feet of water. Robertson, who had been kayaking, had left the kayak, and was reported in distress Tuesday afternoon. He was found almost 24 hours later. Denham said a life jacket was found in the kayak.
