Saline Co. man found guilty of strangulation

SALINE COUNTY (WSIL) -- A Saline County man faces up to 15 years in prison after being found guilty during a four day jury trial.

On July 15, a jury convicted Kyle W. Shelby, of Harrisburg, of aggravated battery involving strangulation and resulting in great bodily harm.

Shelby was arrested on April 11, 2020. He will be sentenced on August 31, 2021.

The matter was investigated by the Harrisburg Police Department.

State's Attorney Molly Kasiar is thanking Chief Michael Riden, Officers Logan Leverett, Kaitlin Wilson and Matthew Forrester, as well as Sgt. Curt Hustedde and Sgt. Todd Cavender for their hard work investigating the case.
